Summer Season 2023
Our first game is at 2:00 pm on diamond 9 07/10/2023. Players are to arrive at 12:30 pm for this first game so we can make sure everyone is registered and has time for a good warm up.
The coaches will talk to you about training for the rest of the season.
Below are the instructions again on how to register. Ellen has offered to help if you are having any problems; please give her a call on 0431 664 794 or catch up with her at the grounds.
Please use this link to register. If you select “Senior (18+) – Full Time – Summer 2023/24 – BSA” you will be required to pay the total fees for the season ($335.00), if you select “Senior (18+) Full Time Payment Plan – Summer 2023/24 – BSA” you will be required to pay the peak body fees only ($153.33) to register and take the field on the 7th and then you will be invoiced for the balance which is payable by the last game before the Christmas break.
Below and attached is the content of an email we received from BSA this week, for your information, minus some content that is not relevant to us.
Our official Lights On Celebration will take place this Saturday 7th October, 5.45pm following the completion of the 4pm game. Join us at Diam 1 to reflect and celebrate. Please note the following for teams participating in junior grades and umpiring allocations:
Game Day Activities
Diamond 2
- Diamond 2 has undergone some upgrades with new back net – no hard ball hitting is permitted into the netting
- The Facilities team have been working hard to have the diamond available for use for week 1 – however this will be staggered use to start
- Home run fence is still coming
- In the interim, the boundary will be marked with cones

- The batted long fly going beyond the marked distance will be awarded an automatic home run
- A batted ground ball which bounces over or rolls through the boundary is played out as per an open field
Grandstand Seating
- Installation of all new grandstand seating is progressing however will not be completed for start of the season
- There will be access to limited number of seats, however please observe signage for areas marked do not enter
Set up/Pull down Duties
- Shades distributed in morning
- Each diamond will have bucket containing pegs / hammer / base caps
- Shades must be secured with pegs / ropes
- End of day’s play shades dropped – pegs / hammer returned to bucket
- Bases removed and base caps put in place
- Bases and shades together for collection
- Benches positioned against backnets on grass diamonds
- Reason – lost of bases / damage from BCC mowing / allows for better utilisation of ground staff hours to perform mowing priorities
Screeding D1/D2 Between Games
- Both teams to screed around bases / heavy traffic areas / batters box
Games Balls
- Each team is required to provide their own game balls (D1/D2 provided by BSA)
Score Cards
- Clubs will be provided packs to distribute to their teams
- Submitted to the office after games
- Must be submitted by end of day”
