Aims: To come together and play softball, to improve and strengthen our skills, and to have a good social agenda.

Wilston Grange Softball Club is a successful, established softball club that is welcoming to players of all skill levels. We are an inclusive and fun club at the Brisbane Softball Association, and our focus is on building players' skill sets, giving everyone a go, and, (above all) having a good time!

With a Membership base from 16 to 66, we offer everyone an opportunity to meet people and make friends they never would have otherwise had the opportunity to encounter. Softball is a community, and we form really strong social bonds together through this amazing game!

History of Wilston Grange Softball Club

The Wilston Grange Softball Club started in 1974 at Hickey Park, Stafford; when we split with Stafford Stars, which became Redsox.  This makes us one of the oldest surviving clubs in the Brisbane Softball Association’s summer competition at Downey Park.  We originally received our name, mascot, and colours from the Wilston Grange Football Club (AFL), which was formed in 1945 in Grange. We have since become independent, and remain so to this day.

We are a family club with a long history focused on fun, friendship and fitness for women, men, girls and boys.  We pride ourselves on the strong links that our players and past players have with the club.  Past players return even after long periods away from the sport, because they are certain of the friendly nature of our players and committee – it’s a place where they belong.

Wilston Grange Softball has a highly successful and competitive reputation – regularly making and even winning grand finals! Our club membership has fluctuated over the years as has our sport generally. Our committee is working diligently to continue the great work of the previous committees and is always open to suggestions from members.  Please come and join us and be part of the FUN!
